Been with my current web-hosting company going on 20 years. With the Canadian dollar so low, it's been painful to renew.

Water on demand

Went with a tankless hot water heater. Cost a bit more, but warranty is pretty good.
Also upgraded the gas lines as it was under-capacity, likely was done at capacity when the house was build many years ago. Gas-fitters were surprised at the smaller diameter.

Rule of Three

Nicole caught a cold from stress let-down, so will be at home for a few days, and the water tank ended itself with 2 months post warranty–looking into replacements, but likely no hot water for duration of Nicole being sick. To top off either squirrels or raccoons decided to each one of our roof vent liners–call sent to roofers.

Almost Vacation

Two days until vacation, and the CV joint on the car just wore out. Yesterday on return from work hear a crunch while turning. Going into the shop for repair today.

Retaining Wall work 2

Pushing back the side of the drive an extra foot to lay down one by two footers, and replacing wood with rock retaining wall. Pretty sure added several times the amount work.

Retaining Wall work

Retaining wall on the side of the drive way gave way. Turns out while the outside of the landscape ties are good, the insides are a spongy mess. Get to rip it out and replace them.

Canada Day

Worked today. Was promoted at work, however, no extra pay—however, will provide time in towards the next promotion.
Came home and floated in the pool for several hours.

Back Home

Have been in Ontario since the start of the month, and arrived back home on an early flight yesterday morning. For the entire duration of stay there, I was congested. Now that I've return home, I have no issues. Unsure what I would've been allergic to.
Yard missed me, spent the yesterday mowing and weeding. While away the lilac's bloomed, it's taken years for them to grow and while the white ones have bloomed prior, this is the first year the violet ones produced flowers.

Have this weekend off, and a "normal" work week coming up, then onto a 5 week double-work rotation. Might be able to take some days off in June.

Day Off

It's a new year, and I have a weekend off at home. Have taught and managed several courses since last fall. Have conducted audits and visits across the province with work, since January. Rather nice to spend some time at home while I can.
Thankfully it's been a bit quieter end of fiscal, however, it's interesting to notice that any policy or directives I write has many employees not bothering to read (literal read this, and then do it) as part of my site visits.

Looking to the weeks and months ahead, and I'll be on the road again, taking a higher level operations course in Ontario, and then off to run another technical course locally. Amongst that, my work position is changing to another branch, and will include all my previous duties and then direct oversight of personnel within the province. —Will have more online courses to take on managing personnel, have to find time to fit them in somewhere.
